There’s a friendly man in a friendly village called Balatonberény who runs a friendly bike rest station with friendly prices by the Balaton Bike Ring. You can buy something to eat here or settle down on the lawn for a picnic with your own snacks; he won’t be cross with you either way. There’s a separate area for those who want to pitch a tent for the night. The selection of isotonic drinks is pretty superb. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can rent a kayak, but they can take care of more standard tasks like fixing your bike as well.
