UPDATE: The confectionery will be permanently closed starting from the middle of December, 2018. According to the owners, they will soon reopen at a new venue. A specialty coffee shop will open sometime during the spring of 2019 at Villa Gréta’s current spot.

Thanks to the expertise of confectioner Ágnes Szilágyi, Villa Gréta Confectionery has a constant supply of magically delicious cakes, which wouldn’t be out of place in the best gastro publications. Located on Petőfi Promenade, on the edge of Siófok’s party district, Villa Gréta awaits visitor with 32 kinds of ice cream, several different cakes, friendly service, and reasonable prices.

You can savor your dessert amid the fashionable decorated indoor area or on the roofed terrace, which is also a great spot for people watching and admiring Lake Balaton, which is a mere 50 meters away. The owners used to live in the town of Nagykőrös, but gave up everything to realize their dream of running their own cake shop, which is now housed in a clean, modern building that was once an ugly socialist-realist edifice.
