The last day, the last fröccs and the last concerts – use up your last bits of energy while you drink up your last glass of fröccs.
Festival favourites Soerii & Poolek will give you muzzle velocity with their freak show and trash electro; do not miss them if you want to see rubber masks, a juggling imp, striptease dancers or band members sharing vodka with you on the stage. Their hits have taken radios and college parties by storm. For further Hungarian fun after them, turn your robot masks towards Telekom Terrace: Radiohead and Daft Punk fan We Plants Are Happy Plants will set you feet in motion with a nice and smooth nu disco--recommended side drinks are fröccs and coctails. The resident DJs of Urimuri Sátor, Crimson (ikz) and Vikipop offer you a blend of disco, pop and house. Those who prefer ska will not shed tears under the disco ball either: on the OTP Bank Stage, Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra and Lipi Brown (in his trademark white suit) will heat up the night.
If you go and see the Dutch DJ, Fedde Le Grand, be sure to change the line of his classic hit to 'Put your hands up 4 Balaton Sound!' He will probably bring you a mixture of techno and house with popular tunes. The DJ and producer is resident in Ibiza and will surely bring us a taste of that legendary place. His anthem Metrum was chosen as Best Techno Track of 2012 at the Beatport Awards and he also received an award for his remix of Paradise by Coldplay at last year's International Dance Music Awards.
He will be followed by disco king Calvin Harris who was not far from truth when giving his first album the title I Created Disco--there is no one better in the genres of disco and electro house. He worked with the likes of Example (We’ll Be Coming Back), Dizzee Rascal (Dance Wiv Me) and Rihanna (We Found Love)--and his remixes lifted hits by Kelis, Katy Perry, David Guetta and Mika to a whole new level. The sets of the Grammy-winner do not only offer a hit show, but always contain the best current disco/house tracks.
As an alternative option, there is DJ Koze on Telekom Terrace: not only for those interested in the most exciting and hottest acts of electronic music. The musical clown of Hamburg released his new album Amygdala earlier this year. The list of contributors to the album include Caribou, Apparat and Matthew Dear, while its style embraces abstract hiphop, strange electronic sounds and techno that feeds on minimal. You can never no what you are going to hear next.
