Lake Balaton moves to budapest
The Open Balaton event series will begin next week and bring you hundreds of discount accomodation, gastronomy and recreation offers all around Lake Balaton - with the participation of We Love Balaton among others. The organizers thought an appetizer would come in handy, so you'll get a taste of it all this weekend. What can you expect? You will have the opportunity to taste home-made jams, syrups, beers, pálinkas and wines, lying on one of the dozens of sunbeds, listening to DJ-sets. The Pancake Festival will also pay a visit. You can make your own lavender sack, and the kids will be entertained with a Balaton colouring wall, mask-making and spring flower creations, with the help of animators. When and where? From Friday to Sunday in the Akvárium, Budapest.
Playing in Veszprém
The 8th edition of the Spring Games International Children and Youth Festival in Veszprém will be held between 23 and 28 April. This amateur festival of performing arts provides an opportunity to young people between 6 and 19 years of age to perform their singing, musical or dancing acts and exhibit their drawing under the sign of European intercultural relations.

A childhood dream come true. Szabó Balázs Bandája take sthe stage of the Expresszó Klub in Veszprém on Friday, 25 April. Balázs Szabó is not only the singer-songwriter here,but also a multi-instrumentalist, puppeteer and storyteller. Perhaps his multifaceted character is the reason why the band cannot be boxed into one sepcific genre - they draw inspiration from Hungarian folk music, rock, blues and funk as well. With success.
Bringaréna opening
The Bringaréna in Eplény opens on Saturday, 26 April. On the opening day, visitors are welcomed with the spectacular extreme running competition, Spartan Race and a 30% discount on bike rentals, so you can try mountain biking on the special courses even if you have no bike. Between 27 April and 25 May 20% discount applies to lift tickets and rental prices.
Wine+dinner at the Sabar-Dűlő winery
After the adrenaline rush, head to Badacsonytördemic and the Sabar-dűlő Winery. The handicraft winery founded in 2009 chose 6 tpyes of wine for the Saturday wine dinner. These will be accompanied by welcome bites, then comes the shrimp salad with home-made grape seed oil, which will be followed by a cheese cream soup with mangalitza greavesa. The main course is "Vadas" beef of the neighbour's grey cattle, while the dessert is a true classic: floating islands.
