A bunch of top-notch new artists have been added to the line-up of the upcoming MasterCard Balaton Sound. Multiple-time No.1 DJ Armin van Buuren, DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who are definitely at the top of their game, Nervo, the Australian twin act known for pumping out hits, as well as Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren will grace the Sound main stage at the same time.

The list is not complete because Datsik and Clean Bandit will also perform, Feed Me will treat the audience to a DJ set, and Hard Rock Sofa’s gig on Day 0 will be a good warm-up. Bassjackers, Sigma, Scarlett Etienne, Warieka and HVBO have also made it onto the brand new list of performers.

It is only a few months until the kick-off of MasterCard Balaton Sound, one of the most highly anticipated festivals of the summer. With the newest performers released, the Sound line-up is almost complete, attracting so many that the last passes could be snatched up in May, the organizers say. It was also disclosed that the setup at Sound will go through a bit of an overhaul, as the main venues, including the main stage, will all be relocated. According to the calculations of the organizers, the festival grounds will be enlarged by 20-30%, so a new camping site will be added to host the extra festivalgoers.

Timbaland has cancelled his gig as well as all the concert in his summer schedule to be able to work on his new album. As a consolation prize, here are the new names!

First off, Armin van Buuren, the most well known DJ and producer on the trance scene, who has recorded four intense and very successful albums and has been the host of A State of Trance, coming up on seven hundred shows with 25 million audience regulars. Between 2007 and 2011, he was chosen as the top DJ in the world by DJ Mag on four occasions.

Also in the line-up are Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the two electro hotshots ready for anything, who are known for their wild parties with ecstatic electro house anthems and dynamic sets putting the best speakers to the test. Hitmaker Nervo, the Australian duo of strikingly beautiful and talented DJ-producer chicks, will be there as well, continuing to conquer the world with their daring and energetic music and personalities. There is no need for a lengthy introduction, they have become somewhat of any institution in their genre. Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren will take the main stage together.

He is a Canadian electro artist, DJ and producer famous for his sick, ingenious, heavy, ground-shaking and bold tunes. Festivalgoers at the biggest events in the world have already had the pleasure to rock out with Datsik, and it is now the turn of the seasoned Sound audience. The four talented young musicians of Clean Bandit are also heading this way. Their folk and neoromantic style music is a unique, captivating and magical fusion of precisely tuned electronics, reminiscent of the deep house genre, complemented with the classical sound of string and bow instruments. Jon Gooch, the British drum ‘n’ bass, dubstep and electro house DJ-producer, using the stage name Spor among others, will bring a treat: a DJ set of Feed Me, his latest, most entertaining and most spectacular side project.

To the great delight of Sound pass holders, Hard Rock Sofa will take the stage on Day 0. Starting off on the bank of the Dnieper River, the band has captivated the e-music scene, most of all with mixing the trademark motives of Russian music with the newest trends. Over the past three years Bassjeckers has become a staple at the biggest e-music providers with its up-beat, explosive material and has had major success as a result. No wonder that it now makes the audience go wild at the coolest parties. The Leeds-based electro musician, producer and DJ duo consisting of Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie will play a live rendition of Nobody To Love, one of the most killer drum ‘n’ bass hits of the year, insanely popular on British and international charts alike. Edwards and Lenzie have been putting out music under the name Sigma in the last five years, an act that has earned them international recognition and a spot among the best on the drum ‘n’ bass scene.

Scarlett Etienne is no dumb party girl. She is beautiful, yes, but that is not the only reason she has had the chance to play at the hottest party venues. She is a super versatile character with a diverse profile. Come to Sound and see it for yourself.
