The number of participants at this year’s event will be at an all-time high: the 700 spots reserved in the individual category have been filled and a total of almost 800 will come together at the starting line, counting those competing in the relay event as well. The central venue of the race will be set up directly on the lakeshore, at the heavily frequented Vitorlás tér (Sailing Ship Square). Not only will this provide a beautiful location for the audience area, the finish line and the relay zone, but it will also allow for all the stages in the race to be organized in the same general area, which will make everything easier for the athletes. The ship station by Vitorlás tér will be the venue of the swimming segment, while running will take place under the ancient trees of Tagóre sétány (Tagóre alley).
Participants can sign up for three distances: Medium distance: 1.9-kilometre swim, 92-kilometre bike, 21-kilometre run Special distance: 1.9-kilometre swim, 180-kilometre bike, 10.5-kilometre run Iron: 3.8-kilometre swim, 180-kilometre bike, 42-kilometre run.
Refreshments will be provided by Powerbar, and the entry fee will cover the costs of breakfast, lunch and dinner for the contestants. Individual and relay participants will receive a signature T-shirt designed exclusively for the event at the end of the race. Live commentary, music, a raffle and a motivating atmosphere on the side-lines will make the event memorable, together with a sports gear expo featuring the products of relevant distributors.
