Kultkikötő (Culthaven) will host around 150 events from 14 June to 30 September in Balatonföldvár, Balatonlelle and Balatonfenyves.

On Saturday morning, 21 June Ördögszekér Kompánia Bábtársulás (Tumbleweed Puppet Company) will premier “Hamupipőke” (Cinderella), a real treat for the whole family. In the evening theatre pieces for adults will follow, starting with a black comedy called “The Ugly One”, directed by Marius von Mayenburg, one of the most talented contemporary German playwrights. Directed by Árpád Némedi, the surrealist play will be brought to life by the actors and actresses of the Gergely Csíky Theatre in Kaposvár.

On 28 June the national premier of Bill Manhoff’s “The Owl and the Pussycat” will take place, featuring Adél Jordán and Tamás Szabó Kimmel in the leading roles. The comedy, put on stage in the joint production of Orlai Produkció and Kultkikötő, will be directed by Réka Pelsőczy.

The schedule for July and August looks equally versatile and alluring. On 4 July János Kulka and Tamás Keresztes will play lead in Peter Shaffer’s hit, “Amadeus”. “Mixed Emotions” by Richard Baer, an old favourite with the Balaton theatre crowd, will also feature in the programme, with Judit Hernádi and András Kern topping the bill.
The premier of Márton Gerlóczy’s “A csemegepultos naplója” (The Diary of the Delicatessen Clerk) is scheduled for 10 July – actor András Ötvös will play the young writer from Pest, who has to bear the consequences of a decision that will change his fate forever.
On 19 JulyBányavirág” (Mineflower) will be staged by Jatékszín from Budapest, featuring Zsolt László and András Stohl, and on 26 July the artists of József Katona Theatre from Kecskemét will perform Ray Cooney’s farce, “Run for Your Wife” at Kultkikötő. The play will be directed by Péter Cseke.
