SATURDAY
Big Draw - Keszthely (11-18/10)
The Big Draw is the day when the world's adult population returns to kindergarten for a day to draw anything they like. They can use crayons, pencils, pens, paintbrushes or spray cans - it's all the same: the goal is to create. The campaign began in England (2000), and the photos on its homepage prove that you are allowed to express yourself really anyway you like, even if it's a huge puddle. Now you can pop by the Balaton Museum in Keszthely to draw your version of this year's main theme: your own world. You can even participate in the worldwide contest. Deadline: 21 October.
Brains - Kaposvár (18/10)
Usually in autumn/winter you have to leave the Balaton area to find an acceptable light music concert, but now you have to turn towards Kaposvár instead of Veszprém to enjoy the great live band that Brains is.
SUNDAY
Pumpkin Day in the Krishna Valley (10. 19.)
Although there is no electricity in the Krishna Valley, it does have a bio-garden, so we are not surprised a bit by the fact that it also joined the line of pumpkin-themed days that have replaced the harvets festivals all around Lake Balaton. You can enjoy a pumpkin exhibition, a pumpkin carving contest, and it's a great option to get your kids like pumpkins finally (they still might not). If you don't like the taste of pumpkin dishes either, the Krishna Valley is ideal for an autumn stroll.
Stone gathering in Eplény (19/10)
The goal of the stone gathering is to clear the Eplény ski piste of stones before skiing season. If you want to help, join the others from 9 AM - in exchange you'll be fed tea and hot dog sausages.Plus, participants also have the chance to win entry tickets to the SkiArena.
