The proud holder of the "Castle of Lake Balaton" title, the only relatively intact fortress of Lake Balaton was renewed completely by 2014. We visited to see how it looks in winter.

Though the Turks could never take over this border castle, we managed to invade it for a photo session despite the icy-snowy roads. In addition to the unicorn protecting the award-winning panorama, we found indoor and outdoor exhibitions packed with interactive elements and romantic swings in the Castle of Szigliget on 240 metres above sea level.
