The Balaton Sound acts announced today are the following:
- Faithless
- Dyro
- Dannic
- Zedd
- Kaskade
- Stadiumx
- Laidback Luke
The three-piece formation, Faithless was founded 20 years ago in London; by today, they have sold over 15 million records. After several sweeping performances in Hungary, this major electronic music act will step on the stage of Balaton Sound for the first time ever, in the frame of their Faithless 2.0 tour. Although the original line-up broke up in 2011, Maxi Jazz and Sister Bliss have been playing together on and off since. On occasion of the band's anniversary, they have decided to hit the road again and celebrate at the largest festivals and on the largest stages. On 11 July, they will rock Zamárdi live with hymns, like ‘Insiomnia’, 'God is a DJ' and ‘We Come One’.
At the tender age of 18, the Dutch DJ-producer Dyro was already releasing LPs at the label that also signed Hardwell (a returning act at Balatn Sound), while in 2013 his co-op with Bright Lights, ‘Never Say Goodbye’ jumped immediately to number one of Beatport. Now 22, Dyro has his own label, WOLV, releasing his own music, which have been picked for sets by the likes of Steve Angello, Afrojack and Tiësto. His top hits include ‘X’, (feat. Bassjaker), ‘Paradise’, and ‘Jack It Up’. You can catch him at Balaton Sound on 9 July.
Another Hardwell-related act is the Dutch Dannic, who is currently 30th on the DJ Mag Top100. He exploded into the world of top Djs with ‘Kontiki’, a joint project with the aforementioned Hardwell in 2012. His tunes are often featured in Dj sets by Avicii, Tiësto and Hardwell. In 2013, his own ‘Blueprint’ reached no. 1 on Beatport. Dannic will step on stage at Balaton Sound on 9 July.
The Russian-born young talent brought up in Germany, Zedd will also play in Zamárdi on 9 July . The 25-year-old who always fires up the audience with cool professionalism has appeared with the likes of Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Calvin Harris and Rusko. Warm-up for the concert of the Grammy-winning composer/producer with songs, like ‘Clairity’, ‘Break Free’ and ‘Human’.
With several Grammy nominations and 200+ shows under his belt, Kaskade is one of the best paid DJs of the world. Apart from his own original music, he also prepares remixes for stars, such as Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Daft Punk. The progressive house guru who has been an integral part of the electronic music scene for 10+ years will play his hits (e.g. ‘Summer Nights’, ‘All You’ and ‘Lessons in Love’) at Balaton Sound on 12 July.
Dave and Sully a.k.a. Stadiumxwill also play on Sunday. The two Hungarians managed to clinch the top position of Beatport with ‘Howl At The Moon’ released by Nicky Romero's label, while their first shared hit ‘Let’s Go’ climbed as high as no. 5. They already played at the Sound in 2014, where David Guetta also invited them on stage, which was followed by an invitation to the Pacha in Ibiza; and they have also been praised by Avicii.
