The Balaton Golf Cub Tournament on 25 October is the last ranking tournament of the year at the Royal Balaton Golf & Yacht Clubban in Balatonudvari. The relaxing sight of the green slopes might justify a visit in itself, not to mention the cup of tea, the cookies and the bird song in Sajkod afterwards
Hungary is not a superpower when it comes to golf, although the circumstances would be ideal since the country is full of slopes, woods and plains. The owners of the first golf course at Lake Balaton, the Royal Balaton Golf Club did a pretty good job making the best of their land. The 18-hole course on the hillside above Balatonudvari has woods, slopes and even a closed stone quarry. Plus, the in-game view of Balaton is just amazing.
Tournament form: individual stableford on 18 holes.
Rules of play: The competition will take place according to the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the Hungarian Golf Federation and the Royal Balaton golf & Yacht Club.
Deadline for entry: 14:00, 24th October, 2014.
Start of the tournament: 10:00, 25th October, 2014., in HCP order from tee 1
