If you're in Badacsony on 28 March, do not miss out on the wine dinner of the Borvarátok Wine House, where you can drink excellent Balaton wines and have some pho with wok-cooked grey cattle beef strips, and beef cheeks marinated in Kéknyelű wine.

The Borbarátok Restaurant Pension and Winery stands on the Római út in the side of Badacsony-hegy, only a few minutes far from the centre of Badacsonytomaj. In the garden, you can enjoy the Hungarian specialities of the kitchen at thatched tables. The family behind Borbarátok has been dealing in grapes and wine for generations; currently they own 10 acres off vineyards. They cultivate the finest Badacsony varieties: Welschriesling, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot gris and Muscat. The Badacsonyi Ürmös, prepared on the basis of a 200-year-old recipe by Róza Szegedy is exclusive to the place.
