On 21 June, Balatonfüred hosts Leg 2 of the European Open Water Swimming Cup.

The Hungarian Swimming Association joined forces with major Hungarian cities with the goal of motivating the largest possible number of people to visit pools, baths and lakes on the Day of Hungarian Swimming. In Summer 2013, more than 20 settlements offered the possibility of swimming and attending water-related events for free with a turnout of more than 100 000 visitors at the participating venues.
The 10-km race of the LEN Open Water Swimming Cup will be held in the frame of this event, alongside the open swimming competition, Füred Próba to which thousands of swimmers are expected. Particpants will be joined by the stars of the Hungarian swimming team, other sports icons and celebrities for the 2.5 km distance.
