For the holiday resort of West Balaton, the day of the Fat Tuesday doughnut party signals the end of the carnival season each year. it is the last night before the Lenten season when the people of the village celebrate together. The now traditional party will be hosted at the town hall by the Attila József Library. After singing and drinking wine together, guests will choose the doughnut queen and the wine king of the event.
Guests arriving in costumes will be rewarded. If you can, bring along homemade doughnuts, food and drinks.
