A transatlantic encounter between the Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara and the Cuban pianist Roberto Fonseca in the frame of VeszprémFest on 15 July.
From one side of the Atlantic Ocean arrives the renowned jazzist, a representative of the traditional Cuban style and today's street trends, Robert Fonseca. His last album, YO invites listeneres on a journey to traditional Cuban sounds and African roots.
From the other side arrives the Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara, the most outstanding voice of her generation, whose musical world is a reinterpretation of the rhythms and sounds of Mali with her warm and impressive performance in the focal point. Her album, Fatou is about the suffering of today's African youth and the need for human rationality.
The encounter between the two young artists promises a yet unparalelled, exciting evening.
