Although the 17th FINA World Championships ends in Balatonfüred on July 21, we will get an encore, because when something is good, you just can’t get enough. The FINA World Masters Championships will be held from August 7 to 20. Here we can cheer for senior swimmers. You can watch the competitions for free, which means that you can drop by anytime to enjoy the atmosphere of the event.

Tip: Make sure to get there in time, as the best seats are always quickly taken.





The FINA World Masters Championship takes place in Budapest and in Balatonfüred between August 7 and 20. The open water competitions will be held in Balaton from August 10 to 12.

Swimmers can become “seniors” even at the age of 25, but there’s no upper age limit, so there are always some competitors who are more than 80 or 90 years old.

Competitions:

  • August 10 – open water
  • August 11 - open water
  • August 12 - open water

Visiting the competitions is free during the time of the Masters World Championship, but spectators (and accompanying persons) can register in advance, and after paying the registration fee, they’ll have accreditation for the entire championship, and they can enjoy all the advantages provided by the accreditation.
