There is something strange and inexplicable about Budapest, which is totally different from what the fancy guidebooks have to say about the city. Like anywhere else in the world, life here is also full of serious contradictions, and things get even more complicated when you can’t remember how, after a night of partying, you splashed out and spent your parents’ paycheck on a plane ticket to Lisbon.
