Köveskál is a true oraculum of gastronomy: it has a density of one restaurant per every 133 residents (far surpassing the average of Budapest), not to mention the multitude of wineries. After the start of gastronomical tourism, local restaurant and wine cellar owners allied to bring the Gasztrofalu / Gastrovillage project to life. Their goal is to provide home-like and high quality hospitality to guests of the Káli Basin, with dishes prepared with local ingredients, home-made jams, syrups and fresh herbs.

On1 May, you can enjoy all-day-long programmes on the 1st anniversary of the launch of Gastrovillage. The programmes include vine planting, wine tasting and folk dance shows; plus visits to local homes and gardens that  await guests with homemade snacks and desserts.
