The 11th VeszprémFest and the Hungarian Jazz Federation together present the 2014 Hungarian Jazz Day on 20 July, as the closing event of VeszprémFest.
The Hungarian Jazz Federation formed the Hungarian Jazz Day in 2009, which took place at the Sziget Festival. Eighty of the biggest stars of the genre performed at this event. After the event's huge success, the organizers decided to create a tradition. In 2010, on day zero of the Festival, the Hungarian Jazz Day got its own stage, where the best local performers were accompanied by international stars. Without any exaggeration, this was a really monumental event in jazz history. In 2011, the Hungarian Jazz Day was held at the September Fest, in 2012 and 2013 the Buda Castle Wine Festival was its location.
This year, the prestigious event comes closer to the rural audience, as it will be held at the VeszprémFest. Such superstars will perform with Hungarian bands as George Duke, Dennis Chambers, Dean Brown, Gary Willis, Tommy Campbell and Billy Cobham.
