Carnival (or Farsang) in Kaposvár is usually held on the weekend closest to 6 February: this year, it is 6-8 January.
The 3-day festivities arrive with a colourful range of programs, including an artisan fair in Kossuth Square, theatrical productions, folk dance shows and the traditional masquerade. The peak of the festivities will be the Carnival ball at the Együd Árpád Culture Centre.
