The Szolnok Symphony Orchestra will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2015. The head of the orchestra for a few years now has been the famous Japanese conductor, Izaki Masahiro. The repertoire of the orchestra embraces all styles from Vivaldit through the Viennese classics to contemporary. In the course of its existence, they played in several European countries, like Austria, Germany, Poland, Italy, and Finland; while they also visited Japan as well.
