In the frame of this large-scale event series that covers the entire Balaton region, dozens of venues bring you concerts, sports, family and kids'' programmes and new festivals in various genres with Hungarian and international stars.
The series consists of nearly 20 events and it was joined in 2014 by the Valley of Arts, ArtPlacc, KULTKIKÖTŐand Balaton Sound. The programmes include sports and arts related events as well.
FESTIVAL / MUSIC
The KULTKIKÖTŐ in Balatonföldvár is a one-of-a-kind event with its colourful range of cultural programmes. It brings you theatre performances and concerts in a nice, 1000-seat venue from mid-June to to the end of September.
The largest festival of Lake Balaton, the MasterCard Balaton Soundbegins on 10 June. The best medium-size festival of Europe expects 120 000 visitors this year to Zamárdi.
ARTplacc brings together the cream of Hungarian and international contemporary art galleries in Tihany for the 4th time between 12 and 20 July. - on occasion of the 25th anniversary of the systems change, it will act as the meeting point between the eastern and the western worlds, releasing both the arts and the audience from the confines of walls.
The Nagy Csobbanás Family Beach Festival visits three locations this year: choose from the programmes in Fonyód on 12 July, in Siófok on 19 July and in Révfülöp on 9 August.
This year, the Valley of Arts will also join the event series. At the longest-standing festival of Hungary, the 'traditional' line-up will beexpanded with new performers, programmes and venues in and around Kapolcs.
This year, the Paloznak Jazz and Wine Picnic will see its 3rd edition with excellent Hungarian jazz musicians and performers fluid in modern musical genres, like DePhazz. Visitors can also participate in arts and family programmes.
Last years' newcomer, the B.my.Lake festival (from 18 to 21 August) expects an increase in the number of visitors. The festival that received an award from the Yourope festival association at the beginning of the year will bring you over a hundred DJs at Club AligaBalatonvilágoswith guests from all around the world.

Hungary's most popular running event, the longest running race in central Europea and the largest mass sports event of Lake Balaton, Ultrabalatonexpects a record number of participants to the start of its 8th edition at 8 AM on 31 May in Balatonaliga.

Between 10 and 12 October, Siófok will host the Balaton Fish Festival, which is a due ending to the 2014 series ofNagyon Balaton.

Péter Weiler's “Road ‘71” is a unique collection of Balaton-specific moods. The pictures will first be exhibited in Köveskálon on 21 June, and they will also be showcased at the MasterCard Balaton Soundand at the Strand – Nagyon Zene Festival later.
The organizers of Nagyon Balaton asked 20 contemporary paintersto make a work of art each, titled 'The Balaton for me is...', which will be exhibited at the end of the summer.
