Since 1995, narrow gauge railways are celebrated on 7 September.
The event starts in the morning and offers numerous options to guests. You can travel by heritage trains (some drawn by steam engine) through the legendary Nagyberek to Somogyszentpál. Participate in or watch contests, a model railway exhibition, and concerts in the afternoon and a street party in the evening.
Get to know the narrow gauge railways of Hungary and the traditions of their respective regions. The Narrow Gauge Railway Day is a great opportunity to explore Balatonfenyves and its surroundings as well.
