The re-interpretation of one''s own songs is only succesful if it manages to convey something more or different than the original. Such is the Omega Ortorio concert in Siófok on 8 August.

The Omega has touched masses both in Hungary and abroad throughout its career. In recent years, the band gave birth to symphonic adaptations of their songs, titled Omega Rhapsody and Omega Symphony.

The songs of Omega Oratorio are the pick of the oeuvre. The eldest one was written in 1970, the latest in 2006. The songs have been adapted to classical music, so the Omega oeuvre lives on in new musical dimensions.

The classical music framework for the adapted songs is Les Preludes by Franz Liszt. The instruments of the rock band and the acoustic instruments of the symphony orchestra, together with the solo vocals and the choir teleport the Omega classics to a transcendent world.
