The National Day of Hungarian Culture has been celebrated on 22 January since 1989, in memory of the birth of the poem (Ferenc Kölcsey's Himnusz, 1823) that has become the anthem of Hungary. Several settlements of Lake Balaton will participate in the celebrations with various cultural events.
