On occasion of the European Geoparks Week, the Balaton Uplands National Park organizes a tour to the Úrkút karst and the Szentgáli-kőlik cave on 4 July.
THe first half of the tour is a leisurely 1-km walk on the area of the Úrkút karst - an introduction of the prehistorci fauna and local mining, with a geotale for kids.
Participants then can head on to the Szentgáli-kőlik cave. Guides will escort them from the base in the middle of the village to the entrance of the cave for a 1.5-hr cave tour. Those who do not wish to enter the cave, can go on a 4-km geotour of 3 hrs, visiting exciting sites.
