About the wine cellar:
Konyári Wine Cellar is one of the most popular and most highly acclaimed wineries on the south shore. Currently working a total of 38 hectares, the cellar produces about 230,000 bottles annually. The aim of the Konyári family was to make use again of the most favorably located vineyards on the hills south of Balatonlelle (namely Kishegy, Öreghegy- vagy Szárhegy, Bánomhegy, Jánoshegy, Sinai-hegy). All these plots have exceptionally advantageous properties with a high content of calcium carbonate, loess-based soil mixed with stone and clay in places and sunny, warm hillsides at an elevation of 150-250 m. The grape selection of the winery is dominated by blue grapes: apart from the hungarikum and international varieties, the family aims to create selections that have yielded the famous wines of the past centuries.
