31/07 Szabadkai Népszínház: Eight women
Robert Thomas’ comedy thriller Eight Women was adapted to the big screen by Francois Ozon in 2002, and now the Szabadkai Népszínház will present its on interpretation on stage. As we all know, if you have more than one woman in a room, chaos will soon ensue. Eight Women is like a joint story by Agatha Christie and Woody Allen that was inspired by a visit to a women’s club. A mysterious crime and many enigmatic characters. Everyone has secrets and comedy can turn into tragedy in no time. By morning, the dramatic event has happened: the lord of the house (also the only male character in the story) is found dead, and since all the characters got stuck in a countryside mansion due to a winter snowstorm, the murderer must be one of them.

07/08 Szamárfül Projekt: Brub, aka the singular sock
Who would’ve thought that the struggle of doing the laundry can be transformed into a lovely children’s tale? That is the message adults can take home after watching the story of Brub, the singular sock, who returns from his Spanish holiday without his other half. Szamárfül Projekt will use everything from prosaic theatre to pantomime to get the audience involved. We think children learn the most from their parents – for example, the love of theatre. The kids can have fun watching the amazing adventures of Brub and his friends with the vacuum cleaner and the mess-monster; and the adults will hopefully be less frustrated when staring down into the bottomless pit of the washing machine.
