The renovation of one of Keszthely’s historic buildings took a long time, but it was definitely worth the wait. Today the former 18th-century inn houses a fine exhibition about leisure travel back in the day, which is a real treat for both romantics and technology enthusiasts. You can get into an old-fashioned carriage, start a van with a starting handle, peruse the goods at the arts and crafts fair in the courtyard, or drop by the nearby Palm House. Tickets to Amazon are reasonably priced, and combination tickets valid at other local museums are also available.
