The single-pier dock of Balatongyörök is on the northern shore of Lake Balaton’s western basin. The open-water dock was opened in 1936 with the following destinations: Balatonmáriafürdő, Keszthely, Szigliget, and Badacsony.
The nearby Szépkilátó is worth a visit – although it’s only a resting spot with a parking lot, a few benches, and a grassy hillside, it has a great view of the buttes of the north shore from one side, and of the hills of Fonyód from the other.
