Napfény Beach and Water Park stands in a central location in Balatonlelle, east of the boat stop. If you arrive by train, simply make a beeline for the lake from the train station and you cannot miss it.
Do not be alarmed by the retro sign by the entrance: the East German vibe is long gone, like the Berlin Wall. This is one of the finest sandy beaches around Lake Balaton, and a worthy competitor of Fonyód for the longest lido beach title.
The water park is another positive feature of Napfény; it comprises a sauna house, three pools and a giant wave slide from the sunbathing terrace to the water. In terms of water sports, pedal boats are your only option, but you're definitely better off on land: the beach has everything from beach football to beach volleyball, and even a basketball hoop and a small asphalt court. With playgrounds and sand everywhere, the whole beach looks like a giant sandbox, so it's definitely recommended for those with kids.
