When the settlement of Fövenyes was founded, a small, Neo-Romanesque chapel – dedicated to Anthony of Padua – was built to mark the center of the new village.
The window of the shrine is adorned with the image of the chapel’s namesake. Saturday evening service is held every week inside the ivy-covered walls, and christenings also take place here on a regular basis. The bell in the churchyard lends the charming village an extra cozy feel.
