Finally, a long-awaited beach opened for our four-legged friends in Fonyód, at the grassy area behind the water police's station. This place really is a beach; it is spacious, with a wonderful view to Badacsony, with bins, many shady shelters, a grassy bit serving as a running track, toilets, and a pier. It is a true dog paradise.
The dog beach of Fonyód is easily approachable on foot from the road that starts at the boat stop. The beach is also very well signposted at various spots around town.
