Located in the Bakony Hills, the biggest porcelain manufactory in the world opened its gates more than 185 years ago. It all started in 1826 with a small workshop and a handful of employees, with Herend porcelain since becoming a favourite brand among monarchs, prominent historical figures, leading businessmen and artists. The company, a real Hungarikum, is known in almost every corner of the world.

Apart from the manufactory, you can also visit the Porcelanium Visitor Center, the Herend Porcelain Museum, and there is a café and a restaurant as well. The museum showcases different kinds of Herend porcelain from the early days right up to the present.
