Located among the hills of Bakony, the biggest porcelain manufactory in the world opened its gates more than 185 years ago. It all started in 1826 with a small workshop and a handful of employees, with Herend porcelain since becoming a favourite brand among monarchs, prominent historical figures, leading businessmen and artists. The company, a real Hungarikum, is known in almost every corner of the world.
The Minimanufaktúra part gives a glimpse into the art of porcelain making. You can also visit the Porcelanium Visitor Center and the Herend Porcelain Museum. The museum showcases different kinds of Herend porcelain from the early days right up to the present. After that you can enjoy the goods of Apicius Restaurant and Café.
