Géza Légli did not want to be a wine maker, he doesn’t have a cellar, and it was his brother, Ottó who put the name Légli to the wine map. This was the situation of which Kislaki Wine Manufacture emerged. The artisanal winery in the southern part of Balaton makes great wines without the cold and impersonal character of big wineries and the snobbery of some wine experts.
Géza Légli – who, by the way, looks more like a golf player than a wine maker – has the same friendly character. You can't get the wines of Kislaki Winery in the big supermarkets. The best way to try them is to go to Szőlőskislak (a part of Balatonboglár), where you'll find the Kislaki Borkert (Kislaki Wine Garden) at the edge of the town. Here you can taste and buy their wines. The wine garden isn't a factory either, more like a nice home on the edge of the village.
