There’s a tiny village on the Balaton Uplands that is pushed into the background by its bigger neighbours. However, the village has a lovely main street where you can find Lovas Kikötő, a spot with a true community spirit and mismatched furniture collected over the years.
The place is the dream project of Lóránt Csomai, who turned the building of the village pub into a hip hangout that functions as a breakfast spot, a café, a bistro, and, in the evenings, even as a bar.
At Kikötő you can enjoy quality coffee, Mediterranean dishes, homemade desserts and cordials, and local wines – whether you come on horseback, by bike or car, and whether you live here or you’re passing through.
Tip: The place often hosts exhibitions, concerts, lectures and open-air movie screenings, too.
