Kishegy is the hidden gem of Balatonlelle, one of the centres of the South Balaton wine region, on the other side of highway M7. You will find acclaimed wineries around here--although, the finding part is a bit tricky, since the uniform signs of the wine region, which were originally intended to help the drivers, are practically useless.
On the top of Kishegy stands the romantic Szent Donát Chapel which would be a perfect place for a Royal Wedding. The centuries-old building called Majthényi Présház is standing right next to the chapel and houses a restaurant run by the famous wine maker Konyári family.
The menu consists of traditional dishes but don't expect the cheap outcome you'd get at oil-drenched eateries; you'll only gain positive experiences here. We recommend sitting down to a table on the terrace, whence you can see all the way to Tihany.
