After six years, the owners of MANOR House Inn in Csopak had had enough of not being able to spend the whole year at Lake Balaton, and they also wanted to share their home with other people. That’s why in 2014 they decided to renovate a summer cottage, and began to accommodate guests without any sort of a business plan. Today the countryside villa feels a lot like home indeed. The floor-to-ceiling windows of the living room make you feel like you are in a stylish winter garden that has everything from a comfy sofa and bookshelves packed full of interesting reads to nicely set tables, a gramophone and a guitar.
Guests are welcome to spend as much time in the kitchen as they want, and the huge table is perfect for bringing everyone together at breakfast. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, and they are all named after the color of the tiles inside the bathrooms. The spacious garden is a great spot for settling down with a glass of wine in the evening, but there are also plenty of excellent wine cellars nearby – you can let the kids run wild on the playground before you set out to check them out one by one. If you feel like going to the beach, we have good news: it’s right at the end of the street leading to the villa.
