The oldest watermill of Hungary is one of the few sights in the tiny village of Örvényes. This rarity of a monument attracts many visitors; this is why a mill museum was installed in the building.
The wheel of this 11th century mill is turned unwaveringly by the Pécsely stream. The thatched roof, the well and the carriage in the yard all enhance the romantic atmosphere of the place. The watermill even starred in a scene of a Hungarian period movie called Fekete város (translates as "The Black City").
