Hungary is not a superpower when it comes to golf, although the circumstances would be ideal since the country is full of slopes, woods, and plains. The owners of the first golf course at Lake Balaton, the Royal Balaton Golf Club in Balatonudvari did a pretty good job making the best of their land. The 18-hole course on the hillside on the north shore of the lake has woods, slopes and even a closed stone quarry. Plus, the in-game view of Balaton is just amazing.
Royal Balaton Golf Club is quite popular among tourists: when we were there many players were on the course. Golf is still considered as an aristocratic sport in Hungary, but Royal Balaton wants to change that. They offer wide range of prices, they have golf instructors and they are open to hosting weddings and business events as well.
