You could say that Sió Cinema has catered to locals and visitors on an industrial scale since 2012: on some weekends and summer days as many as 12 screenings are held. The cinema’s arsenal has been updated to meet this demand: Sió Cinema was the first in the country to adopt the high-resolution 4K screening technology, which produces a picture twice as sharp as the one you see in multiplex cinemas. If you think capitalism is taking over the cinema experience, think again: 3D movies, theatre shows and art movies are also screened in the framework of the Színház a vásznon (Theatre on the screen) and the Filmklub series.
