To get to the Újhegy public beach of Siófok, we first have to cross the Sió Channel (through Baross Gábor Bridge) and then head to Erkel Ferenc Street.
After leaving our car in the parking lot, we can experience a pleasant change as we reach the entrance: while in the past, admission to the beach was paid, we now can enter for free. On the other hand, the beach still has changing rooms, showers, free toilets, buffets and rentals. So we can ride a pedal boat and eat lángos, or just take rest in the pleasant shade of the trees.
