You'll meet the inviting sign of Söptei Winery above Csopak, in the direction of Arács. You cannot see the building from the road, but the 2-minute climb is definitely worth it. Once you reach the shaded terrace and sit down on one of the benches facing the Lake Balaton, the view will make you forget to order. The strength of the Csárda lies in dishes for advance order, like the pig’s trotters, roasted duck, or carp for 4, which has to be ordered 24 hours in advance.
Söptei is a family winery, the restaurant is only an addition, so be sure to have a Welschriesling fröccswhile you browse the traditional dishes on the menu. We highly recommend the delicious appetizers after a long walk.
