Tamás Laszip came up with a great idea how to save the little piece of land from weeds at the end of his lot on Szent Balázs-hegy: he decided to grow lavender. He learned how the French do it, then he got the most beautiful plants, and the necessary watering system.
The result of the caring work is this wonderful field, where, since 2017, visitors can even pick their own lavender. The view itself is worth a tour, and we can even rest in one of the wine cellars after the lavender harvest.
Tip: Leaving Szentantalfa towards the direction of Nagyvázsony, you have to leave the main road before the first left turn, following the flag with the “Levendulás” sign. Just follow the signs from there.
