One of the three intact Árpád-era churches of the Balaton region, this small building in the village of Egregy definitely deserves monument status.

The medieval church has not been majorly renovated over the years, and its simple, almost fairy tale shapes blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.

After entering the baroque gate on the south side, visitors should take a look at the booths lining the north walls and the murals showcasing a wide range of folklore motifs. The remnants of the Romanesque baptismal font and the medieval, consecrated cross further enhance the interior's ancient ambience.
