The roughly 10-km stretch of shore belonging to Zamárdi has several public beaches, one of them being the unusually named T-Beach on the Siófok-adjacent part of town. If you think the name is derived from the popular mobile service provider, you might want to talk to some locals to learn about the true origin of the mysterious T: it actually comes from Táncsics utca, incidentally beginning with the same letter, which runs perpendicular to the beach in the shape of the letter T.

Broken up in places by several bunches of reed, the sandy beach is divided into two parts by some stairs and a few heaps of stones. Here the bottom of the lake slopes only the slightest bit, meaning that even the littlest ones can bathe safely. Like at many other Balaton beaches, you can rent such indispensable holiday classics as pedal boats, kayaks or sunbeds.

Tip: Parking is free of charge everywhere in Zamárdi.
