The Tapolca Cave Lake is a perfect location for a romantic date or a family afternoon - even in bad weather.
The cave was discovered by well diggers in 1903. It was opened to visitors 10 years after the discovery. It is the only cave in Hungary which can be explored by boat. The new visitor’s centre, opened in 2015, awaits everyone with interactive screens.
The building shows an exhibition about the region, and there are ten halls where you can touch various stones. You can also venture into the crawling cave.
