Zalakövesút lies halfway between Hévíz and Zalaszentgrót, amid the hills of Zalavár. The Teréz anya (Mother Theresa in Hungarian) lookout tower was built on the hillside at the edge of the village in 2011, and was renovated a few years later. We can reach the high-stand-like lookout tower through a 5-10 minutes long walk – depending on how solid the muddy path is – but less-adventurous people can also go by car. Besides the surrounding villages, Keszthely, the ridges of the Zala Hills, and the Kovácsi Hill also sneak in the picturesque panorama, and the TV Tower of Egerszeg, the Stupa of Zalaszántó, and the Sümeg Castle also stand out slightly. If you would like to discover the area, you can stroll through the walking path leading to the lookout tower through the hill. Even though there are no tourist signs, locals take care of this path, so it is truly easy to follow the nicely kept road.
