The Gödrös Public Beach in Tihany is the place you first encounter in Tihany on your way from Balatonfüred, and it is in fact a favourite among Füred locals as well.
The long, narrow, concrete-covered beach section is usually swarming with beachgoers. It creates a special atmosphere (and noise) that cars swish past directly behind you, but the fact that Lake Balaton is within arm’s reach is a great consolation prize. The view, encompassing the entire east coast of the lake in the afternoon, is not bad either.
Tip: A private parking lot, food stands and even an adventure park can be found nearby.
